I could hear the rain.

It reminded me of a warm summer rain that caught me by surprise. I would start to run for cover, but one day I found a powerful little fragment of wisdom. I can’t find the exact quote or its author anymore, but it was something along the lines:

I don’t change my pace come rain
For it will touch us regardless
So why fill your heart with worries?
Just embrace it and move on

This one is out of my feather. But I think a monk gave some such advice. Running won’t make it less wet. So instead of running, I now keep my pace the same as before. While others might start running, I keep my calm.

Loved your poetry. Wonderful prose and a mindful message.

Thank you!
