I moved from Germany to Japan and gave up a well-paying job for it. In my case, it was for love.

From a financial point of view, we’d be off much better in Germany. But my wife would have huge issues learning German and as long as we’re safe here, we’ll stay.

My freelancing makes enough, though that took quite a hit with the corona crisis right now. But that’ll hopefully be over soon and I’ll run on 100% again.
