I think this paragraph reminds me of the belief of rebirth with karma from Hinduism or Buddhism (can't exactly remember which one it was). If you do good, you will be reborn as something better. If you do bad, you will be reborn in a worse place. Here, someone will be reborn just the same. Depending on how you look at your current life (whether you're grateful or disappointed) will decide over how you react. To some, the same life might be purgatory, to others, it is the best rebirth they could hope for.

If I was reborn into the same life, I'd welcome it again and again.
