I would guess that you just stumbled into a marriage that was never meant to be for you. I mean, shit happens. I was stuck in a relationship for 7 years, no intimacy for the last two. I tried to fix it, but it just didn’t work. In the end, I came to understand that I have to make a choice. Being stuck together for seven years made me quite codependent. I felt like I’d be alone if I let go.

But I did anyways. After dealing with it for a few weeks, I felt different. Free. I decided to give up on finding love. I wanted to focus on being me. That’s when I met the woman who now is my wife.

Just don’t take this as solid advice. I wasn’t married back then. Things are a little messier when you need to divorce. It’s just my experience that when things feel dead between you for such a long time, there’s not much chance in a revival.
