This was an incredible read and truly let’s your professionalism shine through.
I’ve actually written 3 books in German, one about charisma, one about motivation and a third one about self-confidence.
I’m no psychologist. But I researched a lot to fill these books with proven knowledge from those who are. I learned a lot myself during that time. I read all about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and much more.
I’m really interested in psychology and how we are wired. Often our problems stem from our own underlying insecurities, bad events in our childhoods and wrong understandings leading to bad habits.
But it still feels and reads different to hear an actual psychologist explain these things. Maybe I’m a nerd, but I love it.
It’s what helped me grow into who I am. I was insecure for so long, until I started learning why and how.
And your lesson about failure is one such invaluable explanation. We need to accept failure as a stepping stone to success.
Finally, a tweet I just read a few hours ago:
“A professional writer is just an amateur who didn’t quit.”
We can delete the word “writer” here without losing any of the meaning.
Thank you for writing this, Dipti.
