Wonderful story, Terry Mansfield. I don’t really daydream in the middle of the day. But I often find myself lying in bed at night, drifting off in my fantasy. If I could fly, or teleport myself, I’d go back to visit my parents who I haven’t seen eye to eye in 6 years. Sometimes my nightly endeavors become more and more “childish”, imagining how godlike powers would help me.

I’d be able to stop crime, bring swift justice. Superhero stuff. Just less heroic and more inexorable.

Daydreaming — any form of unbound creativity and imagination really — is a wonderful thing to bring color into our grey routine of life. Even if just for a brief moment.
